Bilsa goes international: first stops Azerbaijan and Northern Cyprus
March 28, 2026
Bilsa Software is implementing its international growth strategy as it approaches its 40th anniversary. As a first step, it started to serve educational institutions in Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Bilsa Software has officially launched its international expansion strategy, which has been planned for years. The cooperation agreement signed with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and the contracts signed with private schools in TRNC constitute Bilsa's first cross-border steps.
Within the scope of the protocol signed with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Education, Bilsa Okulsis pilot application was launched in 50 schools in Baku and its surroundings. The system was made ready for use with an interface adapted to Azerbaijani Turkish and reporting modules compatible with the local curriculum. Initial feedback is extremely positive; Especially the artificial intelligence-supported student analysis module attracted great attention.
15 private schools and 3 university preparatory courses in Northern Cyprus started using Bilsa. The dual currency accounting module based on Turkish lira and Euro was the most requested feature by institutions in TRNC.
To support international expansion, Bilsa Okulsis now supports Turkish, English, Azerbaijani Turkish and Arabic languages. Since the translation infrastructure is designed modularly, adding new languages is quick and easy.
Bilsa CEO stated, "Our goal is to be active in all countries in the Turkish world by the end of 2027 and to enter the European market in 2028."
